Worship & Music
Worship is central to our ministry. Our service is in the middle of the day so people can have time to travel long distances to join together in worship. Members of the congregation take leadership roles in worship, and share their faith journeys with one another. Our pastor combines the preaching prophetic message with spiritual nurture and faith development.
Three of Gethsemane’s members have written hymn lyrics which are included in the Gethsemane Sings! Songbook. Elder Orlando Haynes, Willie Rodriquez, and Elder/Music Director Pam McAllister. Our growing choir presently sings once a month during worship. Guest musicians often contribute to our services.
Our ministry extends way beyond our worship service on Sundays. Our small group of seekers and believers who gather each week to hear the word, sing and pray together are humbled by our impact on the lives of so many who reach out to us from beyond prison walls.
